Eco Reps
Eco-Reps are organized, committed student volunteers charged with increasing sustainable behaviors on campus through peer-to-peer outreach and leadership.
We are looking for creative, out-going and responsible students interested in educating their peers about environmental issues and personal impacts.
What does an Eco-Rep do?
- LEARN about sustainability & green living
- RAISE awareness
- LEAD by example
- INSPIRE others to take action
- NETWORK with University staff & administration
- COMMUNICATE effectively
- CREATE lasting change
- HAVE FUN!
The initial group of Eco-Reps will be made up of representatives from these organizations:
- Residence halls – through IRHC
- Greek houses – through Greek Life & Greeks Going Green
- Campus ministries – talk to your campus minister
(As the program continues to grow, representatives from other organizations will be added)
PLEASE NOTE: Eco-Reps will be asked to commit to monthly meetings, participate in campus sustainability projects and events, and attend a special training
(tentatively scheduled for Sunday October 4th, details TBA)
