The Green Fund provides an opportunity for students to realize their ideas for sustainability and environmental progress at FSU. It is intended to provide students hands-on experience with the development and management of projects in support of efficiency, conservation, and sustainability efforts that reduce FSU’s energy costs, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and waste.
We are currently accepting well-researched proposals from the campus community. When a project is accepted, the Green Fund funds project implementation. We are looking for sustainability-focused projects that will create real, tangible impacts at FSU.
Recipients of the fund are given the opportunity to develop and implement a wide range of projects, all of which lead to advancements in our campus sustainability.
Projects funded through the Green Fund should support energy efficiency, conservation, cost reduction and climate action in one or more of the following areas:
Hydration Station Requests
Sustainable Campus and Facilities have developed a more streamlined process for hydration station installation requests. Project costs (equipment and labor) will be split between the Green Fund and the requesting department and are dependent on the fountain unit currently in place. If your department is interested in installing a hydration station, please email Elizabeth Swiman (firstname.lastname@example.org).
