Environmental Chemistry (B.A. & B.S.)
The College of Arts and Sciences offers a B.A. & B.S. in Environmental Chemistry. Chemistry is a science that deals with the composition, structure, reactivity, and properties of substances and of the transformations they undergo. The College of Arts and Sciences offers a B.A. in Environmental Science and Policy. The B.A. degree differs from the B.S. degree in lower-level mathematics requirements and a greater emphasis on policy. The goals of these programs are to prepare exceptionally well-qualified graduates prepared to work in the interdisciplinary earth sciences, whether in government agencies, NGOs, or the private sector. The College of Arts and Sciences offers a B.S. in FSU-Teach Environmental Science. This is a double-major only program. FSU-Teach is an innovative approach to teacher education that involves collaboration between scientists, mathematicians and education faculty at Florida State University. The College of Social Sciences and Public Policy offers a combined Bachelor’s/Master’s Pathway program that allows undergraduate students an opportunity to complete both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree. Undergraduate students enrolled in the Geography or Environment & Society major who are also interested in Geographic Information Sciences (GIS) at the graduate level may apply to the program. Aquatic Environmental Science (M.S. & P.M.S.)
The Department of Earth, Ocean & Atmospheric Science offers an Aquatic Environmental Science (AQES) degree with several tracks leading to an M.S. or P.M.S. degree. The thesis M.S. program is designed to receive undergraduate science majors. A non-thesis track is designed to serve working professionals. The Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship offers a Master of Science Degree in Entrepreneurship with a major in Social and Sustainable Enterprises.
