CyclingSavvy

About CyclingSavvy

CyclingSavvy is a nationwide cycling safety program that has helped thousands of cyclists learn skills and strategies that make cycling safer and more accessible for everyone. The basics course provides an introduction to key concepts for riding safely and confidently while commuting to and around campus. Sustainable Campus and Transportation and Parking Services are proud to partner with the American Bicycle Education Association to offer this course for free to FSU students, faculty, and staff. The hope in offering these courses is to make cycling a safer and more accessible alternative to driving within and around FSU.

Benefits of Joining the Course

CyclingSavvy benefits both beginning and expert cyclists. By taking this course, you'll learn:

  • Traffic laws
  • Defensive driving & cycling techniques
  • How to mitigate risk while cycling
  • How to ride safely at dusk, in the dark, and in poor weather conditions

Ultimately, with the knowledge and skills gained through the course, you'll be able to feel more confident and capable on the road.
