Learn, plant and grow at the Seminole Organic Garden

Typical student housing options do not offer college students the opportunity to embrace their green thumb. To remedy that issue, the Florida State University Sustainable Campus organization has opened a new Seminole organic garden, giving students the chance to experience hands-on gardening.

FSU Alumni Give Back: Solar at The Sustainability Hub

Next to the FSU Seminole Organic Garden sits the Sustainability Hub ornamented with newly installed solar panels. The three alumni, Scott Minos, Justin Vandenbroeck, and Chris Diaz, all provided support for the project.

FSU Students Learn How to Grow Their Own Food

WTXL / The FSU sustainable campus group is working across lines of division to grow community based food systems that work for everyone. Monday, the group hosted a workshop, teaching students how to grow their own food.

Earth Day: Garden Party Promotes Sustaining Campus

FSView / Sustainable Campus hosted the 2nd Annual Garden Party to highlight the fantastic work of the volunteers on the garden as well as local organizations like Ripe City. The party also provided free food, information on growing your own veggies and even a friendly chicken that meandered through the garden beds.
