Environmental Chemistry (B.A. & B.S.)
The College of Arts and Sciences offers a B.A. & B.S. in Environmental Chemistry. Chemistry is a science that deals with the composition, structure, reactivity, and properties of substances and of the transformations they undergo. The B.A. degree differs from the B.S. degree in lower-level mathematics requirements and a greater emphasis on policy. The College of Arts and Sciences offers a B.S. in FSU-Teach Environmental Science. This is a double-major only program. FSU-Teach is an innovative approach to teacher education that involves collaboration between scientists, mathematicians and education faculty at Florida State University. The Department of Earth, Ocean & Atmospheric Science offers an Aquatic Environmental Science (AQES) degree with several tracks leading to an M.S. or P.M.S. degree. The thesis M.S. program is designed to receive undergraduate science majors. A non-thesis track is designed to serve working professionals.
